The Application Research On Data Warehouse In Coal System

In recent years, the application of data warehouse technology has achieved much advancement in the banking, insurance, telecommunication industry etc. Because of the decision support, the demands of constructing data warehouse have emerged in coal industry. In this thesis, on the basis of the research on the data warehouse technology in depth, combining the characteristics of coal industry, the design and development of data warehouse system in Datong Coal Group's Co., Ltd has been achieved.The data warehouse system offers the basis on the decision-making of the enterprises by storing and analyzing a great dual of datum. The extraction and conformity of datum are the chief tasks of structuring the data warehouse. In coal system, there are the characteristics like light time density, heavy space density, lacking integrity. During the course of extracting datum, the time dimension should be divided properly, when managing datum, the deadline of past datum should be delayed, the using time of datum should be prolonged, the analysis should be done with lower level collected datum. In this thesis, combining with the characteristics of coal industry, data warehouse is applied in coal system. The demands analysis of data warehouse, delimiting the subject area, constructing system model, ETL course and the management and maintenance of datum are expounded mainly. On the basis of data warehouse, the multidimensional analysis has been done. By using the Microsoft decision tree arithmetic, the Data Mining model has been constructed. With the help of web tools, the analyzed results are shown to the terminal users to promote the Analyzing and decision-making abilities of managers in all levels in enterprises.
