Single-mode fiber optic splitter and optical fiber connectors are important optical passive components, widely used in optical fiber communication and optical fiber access network. The fiber optic connectors and fiber optic splitter module can send the signals to multiple nodes in a single fiber, and reduce the operator's fiber optic infrastructure costs. Now, with the ultra-broadband services, as well as the development of 100Gbps network, there is a higher transmission rate requirement of access network, the next few years, fiber optic connectors and splitter module market will greatly enhance.This paper compares the advantages and disadvantages of several broadband intervention, and point out that fiber to the home (FTTH) is an inevitable trend, and a brief introduction splitter and connectors.The second part of this article is a priority, indicating the splitter module's design principles, and briefly introduced the production process of the splitter module, and calculates the cumulative return loss of the splitter module as well as design the experiment to test its return loss.Chapterâ…¢of this article briefly introduces the connector manufacturing process and testing project, including the test principle of IL, RL and 3D.Chapterâ…£of this paper is another priority.
