The Optimization Of LC/PC Fiber Connector Manufacturing Process

With the policy such as the "three-in-one", FTTH putting forward, the technology of fiber communication have developed a lot. As an important optical passive component, the quantity of the fiber connector increases quickly. Then the standard for the manufacturing process must be high, the key point is that we improve the efficiency without lowering the quality. It is the basis for this paper which the main content is the optimization for fiber connector manufacturing process.This article first introduces the development of the fiber communication, then the fiber connector as the foundation of the whole fiber communication system.The second chapter simply introduces the fiber connector; it contains the basic structure, the category, the property and the future trend of the fiber connector.The third chapter illustrates the adopted manufacturing process nowadays of the most common LC/PC fiber connector, it includes that the part of manufacturing, test and so on. Then we draw a conclusion, it induces the necessity and feasibility of the optimization.The key chapters of the article are chapter Four and Five. The main content of Chapter Four is the design of the optimization experiment, includes the analysis of the data and the conclusion, the last chapter illustrates the comparison between the two process, finally it proves that the new process can reduce the cost and improve the efficiency under certain circumstance, at the same time, it shows that the perfect manufacturing process is a procedures that we need constantly improving, and it is closely related to the environment and the conditions.
