The purpose of this paper is through the fiber optic connector end interferometric measurement methods to simplify the production process and improve the detection efficiency. Before the study, we describe the construction of fiber-optic interferometer, analyze the detection principle, and do a specific elaboration on the existing detection methods. The existing optical fiber detection is mainly about the radius of curvature, apex offset, and the height of the optical fiber. For APC connector models also need to measure the angle of the positioning member. According the phase shift analysis of the geometric parameters, we propose the method to improve the detection rate, and compare the data.We analysis the interference principle and data processing principle of CC-6000, NC-3000. With the method unchanged, we simplify the measurement process of the radius of curvature according to newton ring principle. By machine measurements and simplified method of measuring for E2000APC connector from RDM and the PC connector from H+S. we found that the results error does not exceed two percent. Consistent with IEC international standard, the simplified method can be applicate for the actual design of the interferometer. The principle of interference wedge tip achieve a simplified method of measuring the height of the optical fiber, so we can calculate the height without the need for a phase shift. But due to the low resolution of the instrument, achieving specific measurement is difficult, and errors is large. The same problem also appears in the measuring of the optical fiber height, and research needs to continue.
