This thesis target for readers of popular science book pressed by Shanghai Science and Technology Education Press, based on the statistics dates of mail order in the past few years. Design some questionnaire for those readers, put it out and reclaim which are all conducted in the behalf of press.Analysis the recycling data statistical, intend to find out characteristics of the audience market, guide for the book publish. Combing the science communication and the theoretical background, such as audience research and status of popular science book publishing industry, the reader mail order database and questionnaire data were analyzed respectively.Order analysis of database information the reader focused on analyzing the characteristics of the audience's needs, that is,"What kind of audience like popular science books."To sort through the data filter for the establishment of sub-databases, analysis concluded that the audience for the fine book is an upward trend of demand of; published in the form of book sales in the increasingly prominent position; localization original scientific book market and construction need to be further cultivated.This modern concept of the publishing industry of the implementation of integrated marketing to provide a realistic basis.In the existing databases and analysis of findings based on a survey of the design and issuance of work. Adopted for the recovery of the questionnaire data analysis, further study of the reality of the existence of the characteristics of the audience, that is, resolving the "popular science books like what kind of audience,"this issue. Data analysis results show that: demographic sense, have a certain academic level and the purchasing power of men over the age of 40 high-end readers of popular science books is the main audience, and buying behavior in contact and show certain characteristics.The reality of the identity of the core audience that is an important objective of this article, readers of this article in order database and reader survey data recovery based on the popular science book for high-end of the core audience of theoretical assumptions, and further analysis through the investigation, to verify assumption is correct. Concluded that:the specific identity of that have been neglected the existence of our country's "scientists" is precisely the group of popular science books in high-end market, most loyal audience the best one of the core.
