Emergency Information Resources Metadata Management Model And Its Applications

From the perspective of knowledge management, with the advanced technology, Emergency decision support system integrated huge different structure information resources. Through the description of data and knowledge refining, metadata will be knowledge represented, and all this metadata will be managed systematically, which can offer data access services for people.Metadata management is a very important part of data management. it achieve the unified description and management for information resources, Which can improve the transparency of resources management and accessing. But emergency management should timely, accurate and complex. In this paper, first, emergency information resources should be classificated; it is beneficial for layer research in emergency metadata. In the area of emergency management, according to the different business domain, we build the metadata layer hierarchical structure. Metadata should be divided into core metadata and application metadata, which describe two different kind of emergency information resource. At the same time, with the knowledge representation of emergency information resource, we could division for the two-layer metadata and improve their detail.There are three layers in metadata management of Emergency decision support system, core middle layer, application layer and organization layer. Core middle layer complicate the physical naming of metadata, state of resources, the definition of mapping relation as well as the basic field of metadata structure. While connected to the storage medium to provide metadata structure. Organization layer is configuration for the tow metadata, through different mapping configurations can provide emergency strategy for the application metadata. Application layer is above the organization layer, according to the difference application, Construction methods of many different data and storage resources can be defined. Data resource management is the basic structure of the metadata definition. The user create the different organizational structure through the difference application, the application layer can provide own-defined metadata structure for later analysis of statistics and forecasting process.
