UT (Ultrasonic test) is one of the lossless test methods. It is used to test the material's lacuna based on the ultrasonic. The text makes use of CTS-22 as sensor, and 89C52 made by STC Company as micro-computer, puts forward the scheme of the ultrasonic testing instrument by SCM according to the requirements of the project.For data acquisition system, the sample-frequency is one of the main parameters, and working frequency of ultrasonic sensor is usually 0.5-10MHz. Most data-acquisition system's frequency is limited by the SCM instruction cycle, while this system is carried out completely by the circuit. SCM works only at the beginning and end, during the process of acquisition, SCM doesn't work at all, while a 16 bits address-generator produces address at each clock, and A/D storages its digital data to RAM directly. This would improve acquisition-frequency of the system without limit by SCM. Then SCM takes charge of the data from external RAM to PC by USB.The text makes a design on both hardware and software. It shows the circuit of address-generator, address-selector, external-RAM, A/D (TLC5510) and USB (PDIUSBD12). There are programs for the data acquisition, which successfully writes the high frequency ultrasonic signal to external RAM, there are also programs about USB, for example, firmware, driver, application programs.The system can acquire and display the wave correctly at the frequency of 20MHZ as we tested.
