Along with the development of the Economic and science technology, because of the architecture environment influence to the Erection point of the passive calibration, the traditional radar passive calibration method can no longer satisfy the calibration needs of the ship-borne radar for our country's modern navy. It is eager to use a new radar calibration method, which can calibrate and correct the Accuracy of radar under the premise of low demanding of the test site.This article discusses the implementations of radar calibration special-purpose equipment which is based on the DRFM. The equipment receive the tested radar signal from the antenna. The signal becomes IF to give the DRFM module through the down-converter twice by the analog sending and receiving equipment, the DRFM module process the IF then the signal resume to the corresponding frequency of the radar RF signal through up-converter twice, finally the signal through the PA radiates by the antenna. The entire receiving and transmitting procedure is working under the DRFM module's timing control. The control computer mainly uses to complete the working pattern, the target component and the system parameters setting, the receive radar signal parameter and the system working condition instruction.This article introduces the design principle and implementation method of the radar calibration equipment in detail by the DRFM module, the analog transceiver, the power supply units, and the circuit aspects of PCB design. Finally it provides the results of the experiments. Through the evidence of the experiments, the radar calibration equipment can achieve varieties of radar systems and multi-target capability.
