This paper chooses obsessive-compulsive symptoms college students as research object, and thoroughly analyzes the characteristics of obsessive-compulsive symptoms college students' information retrieval behavior and the influence of information organization as well as information expression on these populations, then makes recommendations about information organization and information expression.On the basis of literature review and content analysis, the dissertation consolidates the description of compulsive symptoms in both foreign and domestic mental health fields.According to the study about obsessive-compulsive symptoms in information retrieval behaviors; the researcher conducts a pre-experiment of SCL-90 scale. After the experiment, the deficiencies of the existing obsessive-compulsive symptoms scale is analyzed and a college students obsessive-compulsive scale is constructed, then questionnaire and interview is implemented in order to revise this scale. On this basis, the author studies the information retrieval difference between obsessive-compulsive symptoms students and normal students,draw the following major conclusions, the obsessive-compulsive symptoms ones:①will refresh meaninglessly, and this operation is relatively frequent;②will turn the search results off immediately if it has pictures of insects or dirty things;③tend to collect and retrieve low relevance content;④use software and website are unconscious routine behavior;⑤need to cross check input in fear of errors;⑥will click the key words with mouse, especially the main chapter headings and subheadings in their reading;⑦will more likely to target offset and be difficult for them to refocus on their target, making it impossible to complete search tasks.In addition, some specific information organization and information expression are also affect obsessive-compulsive symptoms individuals:obsessive individuals tend to use simple, no floating element webpages, and they are more concerned with the title and chapter names, to the pages that include dirty, insects, bacteria pictures they often have aversion, and they do not care about pure image page. On the basis of empirical research, this dissertation further makes some recommendations to information organization and information expression:reduce the content per page;make identification of page content clear, minimize the number of floating elements,make the expression of information as "picture+words", the presentation of search results should be simple, etc.
