The traditional methods of document acquisition system are challenged by high speed development of politics, economy and culture. Therefore, new ideas and innovative methods are needed to meet the work requirements of Librarians in University Library, so that the library collection can satisfy University Reader's need.From the perspective of reader book recommendation, the dissertation investigates the Book Recommendation System's function which has to meet readers, librarians and booksellers'needs, with an aim to improve the work of university library document acquisition. In addition, Web2.0 gradually becomes a popular trend in web services. Its focus is not on the practice of the construction of network information resources, instead its focus is on the user-centered platform construction, which allows user to create information resources, and integrate these information resources as well as provide these them back to user. Therefore, this study hopes to learn from this Web2.0 building platform idea, making the library understand reader information need and provide high-quality books and documents resources. While the introduction of idea, the study also finds some Web2.0 websites book applications give a large number of bibliographic information and book review information, which offers hope to address problem of book information lack in the process of recommendation. Therefore, the author proposes to integrate Web2.0 Site Resources and College Library Recommendation System in order to satisfy reader's information need in the process of book recommendation.In this study, observation and statistics method is applied to analyze missing function of the existing University Library Recommendation System. And questionnaire is designed to investigate reader's feeling and opinion as well as functional requirements when they are using the University Library Recommendation System. Then, according to the process of Book Recommendation System itself, readers, librarians and booksellers' functional requirements of the system are summed up. Finally, a Book Recommendation prototype system is designed on the basis of above conclusions.
