A Multi-angled Study On The Newspaper Headline

This article takes the newspaper news title as the language material source, as a basis, I carry on lot' s of study regarding to the subject & predicates type news title, the predicate news title, the substantive title, which are most common used in the newspaper headlines. Basing on the three dimensional grammar theory, through unifying the common structure type, the semantic type, the semantic relations, the semantic characteristic and the language usage effect and so on, the paper separately carried on some dynamic research to the most common three kinds of title type in the newspaper headlines.The paper consists of five parts:First: The Introduction of the present research situation of the domestic newspaper news title. This part generally described the present research situation of the newspaper news title in the sphere both of the language education circles and the News Communication circles, and discovered that the language educational circles just took the news title as a branch which belongs to the title research, but neglected the characteristic as a style of the news. On the other hand, to the sphere of the News Communication circle, the newspaper news title research is more referred to the news writing category, instead of studying it from the news language itself.Second: The syntax analysis of the subject & predicates title, the predicate title and the substantive title in the newspaper news title. This part studied the structure type of the subject & predicates type news title and the syntax characteristic of the subject & predicate type news title;also had an analysis to the structure type and the verb of predicate title, as well as did some study to the structure type of the substantive titleQThird: The semantic analysis of the subject & predicates title, the predicate title and the substantive title. This part mainly studied the semantic type and the semantic characteristic of the subject & predicate title;and had done some study to the predicate news title, discovered that there existed some semantic missing feature in the expression of the predicate news title, and the semantics gravity center of the predicate title frequently falls on the verb;In this part, I also did some semantic type classification to the substantive title, at the same time had done some analysis to the semantic characteristic of the substantive title.Four: The language usage analysis of the subject and predicates title, the predicate title and the substantive title. In this part, I firstly did some study to the common language usage characteristic both of the subject & predicates title and the predicate title, such as the abbreviation massively be used, the new grammar phenomenonmassively appears. Then, I separately carried on some study to the language usage characteristic ,include the tendency of subject topic of the subject & predicate title and use the sentential form convert to highlight the title , and so on;Again did some study to the tone of the predicate news title;finally, I had done some analysis to the topic exudes of the substantive news title and the function of adopting the abbreviation of "de" in order to highlight the title .
