Wireless Sense Network (WSN) consists of a large number of sense nodes, which are low-cost, tiny and deployed in some region. It is a multi-hop and self-organization network connected by the wireless communication. In this network, the supervisor can get the information everywhere, and the data is transferred in routes which are built up by the nodes. Because of WSN, the interface between human beings and nature is changed. Different from the traditional network in the WSN, the nodes' power is limited. Moreover, those nodes are usually deployed in a high dangerous area or the district human beings can't reach. The node will no longer exist in WSN as soon as its power runs out. Therefore, the efficiency of energy is the key factor of the WSN.The paper aims at Wireless Sensor Network with low power consumption. Starting from clustering algorithm and combining with power control, data fusion and RSSI ranging technology. The paper studies the energy saving property of Wireless Sensor Network's routing protocol. And also the paper represents a improved algorithm. The main achievement is as follows:Firstly, the paper starts from the structure of the Wireless Sensor Network, then analyzes the key technology of physical layer: data link layer, network layer and application layer. To the question of the particularity of the Wireless Sensor Network's routing protocol, the paper analyzes the advantages and short-comings of the typical routing protocol, and improves the energy saving property by using power control -clustering algorithm, data fusion and RSSI ranging technology.Secondly, the paper sets up energy and network-survival model to analyze the routing protocol quantificationally. By changing the area of the target field and density of the nodes, we can get the energy consumption curve with different parameter by PEGASIS algorithm. The paper proposes the D-PEGASIS algorithm by analyzing the different curves. This D-PEGASIS algorithm can improve the energy saving property of PEGASIS with no extra node added. In the construction of the backbone of network, the improved algorithm takes the routing as a reference and defines the next node with multi-hop. Comparing with the simulation result of D-PEGASIS to PEGASIS, the data received of the D-PEGASIS is twice as much as PEGASIS, but with less time-delay.Thirdly, the paper analyzes the LBF model of clustering algorithm, finally gets the LBF with the best energy saving property. To overcome the sensitivity of the energy consumption using LEACH algorithm, the paper proposes LEACH-LBF, successfully solves the problem of deviation from the expected value and concentration of distribution location in LEACH algorithm. The life of the wireless sensor networks of the LEACH-LBF algorithm is two times longer than LEACH algorithm. Finally, LEACH and LEACH-LBF algorithm which formed Multi-radio multi-hop routing between nodes was achieved in the experimental boxes EMBEE of IAR Development Platform. In the PC, the data reached the base station were analyzed using the LabVIEW, the results of communication was monitoring and preserving. With analyzing the results of communication, it showed that LEACH-LBF Algorithm was realizable.Generally, this paper presents an improved algorithm that can implement in corresponding hardware. This algorithm provides a new means of energy-efficient for routing protocols research, which is an excellent example in wireless sensor network applications. Meanwhile, it makes a useful exploration on energy efficiency and can ease the energy bottleneck to some extent.
