Recent years,as one of the important access layer technology in IoT,Wireless Sensor Network(WSN)technology is developing rapidly.Widely used in many areas like the military,industry,agriculture,medical field and smart home,it really has a bright future.WSN is composed of a large number of sensor nodes with wireless communication function.Those nodes can sense a various informations of the monitored object in real time,and transmit the collected data to the distant observer,through a self-organized network.WSN has many distinctive characteristics,especially,the shortage of resources such as energy,storage,computing and bandwidth.So,the traditional routing and security protocols are not suitable for WSN.It has benn focused much in the current studies,about how to make WSN work more efficiently and energy-savingly.At the same time,with the researches keep going,security has become another hot topic.This paper introducts the conception,characteristics and applications of the WSN briefly,and makes a deep discussion on the classical routing and security protocols.Then,this paper makes a deep study on the working principle,advantages and disadvantages of LEACH protocol.So as to work out a more energy-saving and consumption-balanced method,also a more lightweight intrusion detection protocol.The main innovations of this paper are as follows:(1)Based on the multi-hop routing algorithm of PEGASIS protocol,the data transmission process of the cluster heads(CH)in LEACH protocol is optimized.And a mathod to select the best Leader node is worked out,under the factors of the node energy and distance to the base station.All these make the data transmition to the base station more efficiently.(2)Upon the improvement of CHs routing algorithm,the WSN optimal CHs number is deduced and calculated,and the network topology is adjusted.So the communication distance of the nodes is shortened,thus the energy can be further reduced.(3)Rounded considering the energy threshold and node residual energy,the CH election algorithm is redefined,so as to optimize the energy consumption balance of the network.(4)To send and receive data more efficiently,the CDMA communication scheme proposed by LEACH protocol is also should be optimized.(5)Through fully analyzing the working principle of the security attacks in LEACH,this paper also proposes a lightweight attack detection protocol from HELLO Flood attack and Sybil attack,so to improve the security of the WSN.
