At present, many kinds of enterprises appear in the economic development progress in our country. It is the existence of them that promoted stable development of our national economy, and at the same time, the existence of them promoted our planned economy to market economy. The development of market economy also brings enterprises the severe test– fierce market competition. In the progress of market economy, some enterprises grasp the opportunity and make greater and faster development; on the contrary, some manage badly and are washed out by market economy. The development superior and inferior of enterprises depends on core competitiveness of enterprises. The so-called core competitiveness of enterprises means that the ability, formed by making full use of resources and integrating effectively, which is unique and enable enterprise to keep constant competitive advantages. Straightly speaking, it is enterprise's unique ability that makes living, gains profits and develops continuously. Basically, enterprises are for-profit organizations; the development of enterprise is the top priority. Management is the means that guarantees realization of enterprise's operating activities. The importance of management becomes clearer together with the expansion of enterprise's scale and complication of operating activities. The management of enterprise serves for business activity.Sale, as the circulation channel of the enterprise products, is a very important activity of gaining profits. Making greatest profits, keeping steady development of enterprises, sale activity appears to be very important. Thus, as a very important task of the enterprise management, sale management has a very close relationship with development status. The current traditional sales management measures has such disadvantages as lag of sales information, monopolization of information of salesman, difficult master of sales opportunity, repeated work, slack of internal information, disorder of customers information and poor satisfaction of customers. However, by means of computer network sales management, more accurate and more prompt sales information, customers information and sales data of each area will be brought about. It also brings managers of enterprises many timely and useful information, enables them to react quickly, grasps business opportunities, and brings greater profits and bigger space for improvement. Thus, requested by customers, and enterprise's requirement is carefully analyzed, this sales management system, which is very easy to use, is developed.JSP+JavaBean+Servlet+JDBC developing pattern was adopted in this system, and JDBC is made up of connection, SQL statement, and result set, it is used to connect data base, send searching request and deal with returned result. Servlet is to make process control, JavaBean is to pack business logic, JSP is to display pages. SQL Server 2000 is mainly used as development platform.The thesis starts with system business analysis and as well as system development environment. Compared with some popular development software, and this development software is chosen eventually. The basic of system design is system structure. The system introduces 3-tier system structure of B/S (Browser/Server). B/S (Browser/Server) structure is browser and server structure. In this structure, user's working interface is realized through WWW browser, very few business logic is realized at browser and main business logic is realized at server, forming so-called 3-tier structure. And actual application property is analyzed to the sales management system. This system is composed of functional modular by actual tasks, namely the following developing stage:(1) System management functionSystem management includes management to administrator and users accounts and password. Administrator's account and password can be modified in the system, and, administrator has authorization to manage users'accounts and password.(2) Sales information management functionRegarding sales information management modular, the following functions will be realized: appending of incoming products information, appending of sales information, appending of return money information, appending of rejected product information. The input and searching sales information includes: serial number of sales information, serial number of product, unit price of product, quantity of products, total amount, date of selling, serial number of area, customers'serial number, etc.(3) Product information management functionProduct information management function includes: product information appending and searching. Input and searching of product information include product serial number, name of products, specification of products and unit prices of products, etc.(4) Customer information management functionCustomer information management is one of the most important parts of sales management system. Customer information management function includes: appending of customer information, searching of customer information, and statistics of customer information. The customer information statistics requires: sales statistics (sales statistic of current month and sales statistic of current quarter), rejected products statistics (rejected statistic of current month and current quarter), and return money statistics (return money statistic of current month and current quarter).(5) Area information management functionArea information management function includes: appending of area information, searching of area information and statistic of area information. The statistic of area information includes: statistic of incoming products (statistic of current month and current quarter), statistic of sales (sales statistic of current month and current quarter), statistic of rejected products (rejected products statistic of current month and current quarter), statistic of returned money (returned money statistic of current month and current quarter) and statistic of store (store statistic of current month and current quarter).(6) Return of product information management functionReturn of product information management function includes: return of product input and searching.By developing this software, requirement of product sales management is met, and sales cost is saved to enterprises, sales management efficiency is improved, and at the same time, some ideas is provided to develop more typical sales management software in the future. This will help enterprises to realized maximization of sales market profits, it will do some help to improve employees'salary and welfare, and will bring people more convenient and cheaper service.
