Food security issues are key issues of social stability and healthy development for the economic in our country. The food spoilage during the storage is one of the important factors for the food security. To reduce the food spoilage in the process of grain storage and ensure food quality, we should be accurate grasp the variety changes of physical factors in the process of grain storage, such as grain temperature and moisture, air temperature, air humidity, air speed in the grain gap, and find out the laws of changes in order to prediction the grain storage quality. Setting up such grain monitoring systems can greatly improve the quality of grain storage and reduce storage losses. More importantly, the establishment of the grain monitoring system can further reveal the relationship between grain quality and storage parameters and deepen the scientific basis for grain storage theory by the in-depth understanding of the quality change process and the parameters change in the process of grain storage.The wireless network technology used in the monitoring network has become unstoppable trend. It is because wireless networks can provide not only greater flexibility and mobility, but also less cost and improvement of system reliability.The main research contents and results of the paper are as follows:First of all, paper have done fully research in the area of grain store system using ZigBee wireless sensor network and carrying out in-depth study in the specification of ZigBee and IEEE802.15.4 protocol, and then discussed some of details of technology application for wireless grain store monitoring technology by ZigBee.Secondly, paper described the overall design and detailed design of grain wireless store monitoring system. Then a demonstration grain wireless store monitoring system based on ZigBee technology is designed, in which includes the hardware and software designs of nodes such as temperature and humidity sensors, pressure sensors , the established of the star network and cluster communication network to realize the purposes of wireless monitoring. Finally, both the single wireless node and the wireless grain surveillance network platform system were put into debugging. The data transmission distance, energy consumption and other important parameters of the system were analyzed. Then paper gave the results of the system debugging and laid a good foundation for the further completion of stored grain quality prediction and controlling.
