Research And Development Of Security Monitor System In Mine Based On Wireless Sensor Network

The security management in mine is a complex systems engineering, which manages an integrated system composed by environment, equipments, products, raw materials and related persons. The ultimate objective is to protect human and the materials of production. In security management in mine, underground environment monitor and person localization are the most important. The purpose of this paper is to design and implement a security monitor system which could achieve environment monitor and person localization in mine. The system will help revealing the rule of the tragedy's happening, making qualitative and quantitative estimation, forecasting the tragedy's happening, reducing the happening rate and the damage of tragedy.Wireless sensor network is a multihop and self-organized network formed from a large amount of wireless sensor nodes by wireless communication. The technology of wireless sensor network has remarkable advantage in environment monitor. Currently, this technology is not mature enough yet, still in research phase. So the research on the technology of wireless sensor network, particularly in engineering and application, makes significant sense.The latest research achievement in wireless sensor network is applied in our project of security monitor and person localization in mine. The bus-communication and RFID localization technology in traditional security monitor system in mine are replaced by wireless solution. The advantage of this solution is easy to deploy and move, robust, low cost with higher localization precision. Test results show that the solution of wireless sensor network based on CC2430 and the improved APIT localization algorithm enhanced by RSSI range measurement technology can exactly meet the need of security monitor system and person localization in mine.
