The configuration of networks device are numerous and diverse. The commands are so complicated that is very difficult to find the network errors caused by configuration. However, there is no intelligent system devoted to the configuration management at home and abroad currently. The management of network faults still relies on the experience, and the efficiency is very low. There is a contradiction between the management-complexity of networks device configuration-errors and the lack of experts in this area. So it is urgent to need an expert system of configuration-errors on networks device to meet the need of the computer networks.This study is devoted to the implementation technology of the Intelligent Diagnostic System. After finding and diagnosing the configuration strategies of a configuration text, the strategies or commands were found out, which can reduce networks performance, including the incorrect, changed by intruder, contradictory and inconsistent strategies or commands. And then rationalization proposals were put forward before the basis and results of the system's reasoning explained. At last, the user can extract corresponding strategy component from strategy optimization library to substitute original configuration file.To achieve the intelligentification and popularization of the configuration management and improve the efficiency of configuration management, the following works have been done:1) The unrelated algorithm of configuration orders sets was proposed, which can resolve the portability problem of the diagnosis system on different sets of configuration orders. The intelligent diagnosis system would have a good platform-independent feature due to the algorithm.2) The recognition algorithm of configuration command was proposed, which can solve the recognition problem of the command objects in a commands set of the configuration text. The text composed by the symbols would be transformed to a set composed by command objects, which build a good foundation for the next work.3) Based on fuzzy clustering technology, the segmentation algorithm about the configuration-text was proposed. The segmentation algorithm achieved the transformation of the set composed by the command objects to segments, which making the configuration strategy diagnosis as possible. The results of experiment show that the text-division has a good accuracy rate.4) The configuration-strategy extraction algorithm was studied to construct an uncertainty reasoning-machine-model based on certainty-method. The reasoning machine extracted out the configuration strategy of each segment, accordingly the configuration strategy set of a text was abstracted, which achieved the strategy diagnosis. The recent results of experiment show that the strategy-extraction has a good accuracy rate. This made a good technical preparation for building an intelligent management system on configuration-errors of networks devices.5) Based on the components, the architecture of the configuration diagnosis system was proposed. The component software engineering technology was introduced into the design and development of the configuration intelligent-management system on the network devices. The diagnosis system was formed by a number of components by certain constraint relations. Such architecture design made the development cycle of the system shorten. This system has a characteristic of extensibility, portability, customizable, maintainability and security. Moreover, the other issues were studied, including the key components of the system, the management and maintenance of the component library, the organizing technologies of the intelligent diagnosis system and the communication mechanism between the components.The intelligent diagnostic expert system has been developed under the driving of the needs of intelligentification of the networks devices configuration management. There are many problems that have not been resolved perfectly, yet. Many research efforts should be made before the system used in a wide range.
