The fieldbus technology has become very popular in the Automation field. The intelligent device with digital communication capacity is the node of the fieldbus system. The goal of fieldbus is to realize automation in whole lifecycle of plant by the way of obtaining information as much as possible from field through the open system protocol.With the development of Automation and Software technology, configuration software as fundamental application software, has become more and more important in the industrial control system. The research of configuration technology based on fieldbus distributed control system has become a hot point now, and many scholars are devoted themselves to the configuration technique in order to promote the development of fieldbus technology.The function block diagrammatic configuration in configuration software of fieldbus is the object in this study. This thesis first raises a viewpoint that integrated system with multi-communication protocol and multi-configuration policy is the development trend. It is concluded that problems such as connective lines failure to avoid the obstacle function block, vertical superposition of connective lines near function block ports, path redundancy and the current template not possessing function and protocol extensibility are existed by studying on the implement methods of the function block diagrammatic configuration, the algorithms of path planning and implement principle of the template in the mainstream configuration software.A kind of implement blue print for function block configuration software module which is irrelevant to any specific protocol and reusable is proposed, which is based upon the further study and analysis of object-oriented component design technique, the optimal path planning algorithm, XML extensible description language and some other relevant techniques. And then aiming at the path avoiding problem in configuration process, an optimal path planning algorithm based on the DFS, intelligent elusion and best selection of queue is presented. The elements of the numbers of obstacle function block, the arrangement of blocks, the length of the path and the times of path transition being considered, a new objective evaluation function is built for the path planning algorithm. Satisfying results have been gained by testing the algorithm in different circumstances. Finally, a new solution for function blockconfiguration extensible template is presented by applying a template description method independent of protocol and based on XML extensible description language. The applying method of the template in configuration software is also presented.Function block configuration software module has been finished developing and applied in EPA-FF configuration system, and a test based on the two protocols of EPA and FF is performed. The result shows that the software module is completely independent of protocol and works well. After using the new algorithm, the function block configuration process has become more intelligent.
