The reconfigurable technology base on FPGA is becoming a new hotspot in the field of the computer system research with the development of microelectronics and computer technologies. It makes the boundary of hardware and software to be confused and makes the hardware system to become software.Reconfigurable technology based on FPGA using the reconfigurable characteristic of FPGA can sequentially complete different time-discrete logic functions by time division multiplex the logic resource of FPGA. System based on this technology not only has the facile to design and easy to update advantages of generic MPU system, but also has the high speed and excellent performance characteristics of ASIC system.Based on the analysis of international implement approach and research status of reconfigurable technology, we use the flexibility of FPGA to design a reconfigurable system based on CPCI. It changes the internal logic functions of FPGA in order to change the dynamic of the system as a whole functions. FLASH memory stores download bitstreams of different logic functions, CPCI Bus controls the reconfigurable process of system, and FPGA realizes different logic functions. The main research contains the reconfigurable system design base on CPCI, CPCI Bus Interface Design and Implementation, to achieve internal logic functions of the CPCI data access and the SOPC system based on the NIOSII, as well as PC-side driver and application software development.Research shows that, in the applications such as signal processing and image processing, the reconfigurable system based on CPCI has strong and broad practical applicability. It can reconstruct the system and achieve the platform of information processing accordance with the characteristics of information. It can save the cost of hardware, rapid response, and increase the utilization of the hardware system.
