Application Of Business Process Management In Railway Information Sharing

With the development of China railway informatization, the information sharing demands for the railway system become more and more intense. "Isolated Information Island" and some other problems which consist in the railway information system have hindered the development of railway informatization. The problem that railway information sharing has needs to be solved quickly.It has been lodged to found the railway information sharing platform in the latest informatization programming of Ministry of railway of China. Nowadays, the information technique changes quickly. How to found the platform and what kinds of architecture would be chosen are questions that need to research firstly. The service-oriented architecture (SOA) is very popular now. The idea of service-oriented can made good effort on the coordinating of the existing railway information system sources. And under SOA, the existing systems needn't to rebuild their functions and framework. It means that, the railway information sharing platform based on SOA can solve the information sharing problem of the complex railway information systems.Business process management is one of the best methods to achieve SOA. Its main idea is to compose several Web services which come from difference system and to create new Web service with new function. All the process is based on the particular business rules.The main work content of this paper include: First, innovatively bring the idea of business process management which is service-oriented into the railway information share area. Give out a new method to solve the railway information sharing problem. Second, according to the characteristic of business process integration and BPEL, demonstrate the feasibility of using this method to solve the railway information sharing problem. Finally, realize two new functions which according to the needs of railway information sharing by using the method of business process integration. Use examples to improve that conceiving BPM based on SOA is an effective project to solve the railway information sharing problem.
