With the highly sophisticated production-based economy and rapid development of information technology, human society has entered the ’service economy’ era. Service has become the driving force of global economic growth. The modern service has a distinct characteristic of organization network and information network. Qualitative and quantitative business environment accelerated. Simultaneously, modern enterprise information system, there have been diverse and complex characteristics. Enterprises eagerly need to find an effective means of technology, to respond to changing business needs rapidly, to achieve interoperability between systems, to reuse existing enterprise systems, and to implement flexible mapping between enterprise business processes and IT processes.The approach of service-oriented architecture(SOA), can make various of systems connected to each other and call functions from each other easily, making business processes built more quickly, efficiently and less cost. Under service-oriented architecture, the business process execution language (BPEL) provides a kind of way to composite Web Services from different systems into a complete business process.Research and make real practice of the problem of business process composition based BPEL. The specific work includes:Research the use of process execution language in depth, especially the technology of process combination. Abstract and model the key factors in the business process. Create the models of key services in the business process of the system and package, publish the key services. Design and implement the BPEL process, etc. Through the research of business combination based on BPEL, with the realization and analysis of real application example, we can make a clear understanding of that, BPEL can composite the business processes among systems in enterprises and make these systems interact effectively. With the theory applied to actual information systems, we can make clear the range of functions, practical significance and deterministic of technology implementation of BPEL process combination based on Web services.The main conclusions of this study can be summarized in four points. First, Web services technology makes reuse of existing enterprise system functions possible. Second, BPEL process composition technology makes the interaction between enterprises systems can be achieved. Third, BPEL process provides a structured support to call the human activity with Web service form. Fourth, with Web services and BPEL process composition approach, companies can make business process innovation and changing flexibly, quickly and economically.
