Based on wide dynamic range and high sensitivity technology, wideband digital receiver is able to have wide monitoring band, high sensitivity,high intercept probability, wide dynamic range, and the ability of the multi-signal processing at one time. It can receive many kinds of signals, such as radar and communication signals. The dynamic range and the sensitivity are the key characters of wideband digital receiver. Wide dynamic range technology is the feasible scheme to resolve the dynamic gap between the dynamic range of radio front end and the dynamic range of high speed Analog Digital Converter (ADC). High sensitivity and low power signals receiving can be realized by the low noise figure technology. In this dissertation, the dynamic range and the sensitivity of receiver are studied and validated.Based on the concept of the dynamic range and the sensitivity, a new method of referred to as the parallel amplifier is presented increasing the dynamic rang of the wideband digital receiver. The parallel amplifier structure which using multiple amplifiers with different gain factors, obtains a composite dynamic range which is much larger than an individual ADC. The simulation results validated that this structure is of little impact on the sensitivity of the receiver and the effective on improving the dynamic rang by the experiment.The theory of experiment validation of improving the system dynamic range by using sampling technique and impulse compress technique are proposed in this paper.
