Research And Design Of Digital Down Converter And Pulse Compression

With the modern development of VLSI, the radar signal processing system has beendeveloped from the original analog circuits to the digital circuits, which has greatlyimproved the operating frequency, the reliability and computation accuracy of the wholeprocessing system.This paper has studied the basic algorithm of digital signal, the theory of radar signalprocessing and completed the Matlab algorithm model of digital down-converter andpulse compression. The pulse compression model is able to detect the static target withinthe scope of open window, and digital down-converter is able to modulate the frequencyof linear frequency modulation signal from medium frequency to zero frequency. Thepaper has also studied the different forms of FIR filters, completed the RTL-level designof the FIR filter based on distributed algorithm, and eventually completed the RTL-leveldesign of the digital down-converter based on poly-phase filter method.By studying radix2FFT algorithm, this paper put forward a realization formradix2FFT based on pipeline, and finally completed the RTL design. Also by optimizingthe design of plural multiplier, the number of multiplier was reduced to save theresources consumption. The paper also has improved the Booth algorithm to reduce thenumber of product from10to9, which obviously reduced the consumption of hardwareresources. By using FFT design, the paper has eventually completed RTL-level design ofthe module of pulse compression.The paper has also established the function simulation platform by using Matlabaccurate algorithm model, and completed the function verification of digitaldown-converter and pulse compression and FFT, resulting the relative error precision ofFFT is about one thousandth and digital down-convert could modulate the frequency oflinear frequency modulation signal from medium frequency to zero frequency...
