By using the frame theory, this thesis takes the 5·12 earthquake reports in Shaanxi Daily, Gansu Daily and Sichuan Daily as the researching objects. Following the scientific steps of proposing the question, analyzing the question, and solving the problems, the thesis has carried on thorough and detailed comparative analysis from aspects of subject content, report quantity, report type and so on. Through the discussion of the problems and the insufficiency existing in the party newspaper, the thesis tried to put forward some feasible proposals for the party newspaper to effectively deal with unexpected events in the future. The text is composed of six chapters:ChapterⅠmainly introduces the object of research, as well as related researching background.ChapterⅡgives a brief description about the research technique and the theoretical application.ChapterⅢis a comparative analysis on the 5·12 earthquake reports in Shaanxi Daily, Gansu Daily and Sichuan Daily from aspects of the report subject content, report quantity, report type and so on. This thesis shows the similarities and differences of the 5·12 earthquakes reports in the three newspapers with the concrete digits and the graphs, analyzes and summarizes the problems of 5·12 earthquakes report in Gansu Daily.ChapterⅣanalyzes the reason behind the similarities and differences of 5·12 earthquake report in Shaanxi Daily, Gansu Daily and Sichuan Daily.ChapterⅤshows some thoughts of how to raise the level of disaster report. In view of the preceding text analytical study, the author will put forward some feasible proposals for provincial newspaper.ChapterⅥis a general summary of this research.
