The Comparative Analysis On Wenchuan Earthquake Reports That Reported By Chinese Newspaper And America Newspaper

Incident is the inevitable outcome of contradiction between man and nature. With the globalization speeding up, the incidents have stronger influence and even more impact on human life. It is an urgent demand for people's production and living to pay close attention to incident and its development. Compared with the reports of incident by American media, the Chinese ones are relatively immature both in concrete practice and rule investigation.Based on reports of the Wenchuan earthquake which happened in our country in 2008, the paper analyzes the differences between reports covered by Chinese media and American media, the root for the differences as well as the insufficiencies of Chinese media reports of incident and then draws the enlightenment of improving the quality of Chinese media reports.The paper consists of three parts. The first part is the explanation of the related content of incident and the introduction of the performance of The New York times and Washington post in America, together with People's Daily and Southern metropolis daily in China. The second part, analyses of the differences between reports reported by Chinese media and American media and the root for the differences. The third part is the enlightenment of improving the quality of Chinese media's reports.
