Since 2001, basic education curriculum reform had advanced that basic education courses need for change. To respond to the requirements of the new curriculum, teachers are trying to find some new teaching models. Project-based learning (PBL) is such a model. In the United States, PBL is widely prevalent in primary and secondary schools. PBL is a new style Inquiry Learning model that regards making the works studying and researching the concept and principle of discipline as the center, regards making the works and showing the works to others as the object, and solve a series of interrelated problems in a certain period.In this study, the project-based learning platform takes network technology as a platform and information technology resources to support learning. In the platform, students are active learners, and teachers become a counselor. The full text is divided into six parts: the part of introduction points out the reasons for conducting this study. The new curriculum reform and the shortage of teaching situation in junior high school physical call for new teaching modes. New curriculum reform requests to change teaching modes, we should make an effort to explore how to improve the quality of teaching and to change the teaching status; The project-based learning is a new mode for China, so the second part is about the concept, the activities process, and the characteristics of both the project-based learning and the web based project learning. The web based project learning is a new stage of development, it based on computer networks, hypermedia and hyperlinks technology, the learner study the concept and principles of discipline in groups, they explore and study, and solve a series of interrelated problems in a certain period of time; The third part analysis the characteristics of junior high school physics and the teaching status, points out that web-based project learning is good for physics teaching, and students like to exploring and solving problem. It is also good for training active learning attitude, information gathering and synthesizing, and cooperation; the forth part selects the law of convex lens imaging, analysis and design a case of the web-based project learning. It is the based of design.Based on the above analysis, we can draw out the function of platform and design it out; in the conclusion part, teachers should put some attention when using this platform, and it is also show the shortcomings of my study.
