As the development of commercialization and socialization, online office automation is increasingly becoming the company's urgent need. For those multinational corporations who have offices in different countries and regions, it is not conductive to manage and share the information if they have different systems and documents stored in various formats in a disorderly manner. Furthermore, it is a waste of time and effort with the traditional paper cumbersome steps for approving & applications, say nothing of those need to be processed cross sectors and regions. Therefore, companies want to establish online office automation system. On one hand, it makes managers and publishers facilitate the management of documents; on the other hand, it allows users to quickly search and select the documents they need. In addition, it can save time and improve the efficiency by approving & applications online through this system. In the past, many of the office automation tools need to install client software. By using B/S (browser/server) structure, we can develop an office automation system featuring with centralized management, client-free installation and quick access, etc, thus achieving efficient collaboration among various departments. Office automation, which combines the modern office model with the computer network capabilities, is a new trend in the information society. Through the network, internal staff in an organization can work together across time and place, which implements the high efficiency of operations.According to the own needs of ZP Industrial Co., Ltd., the structure of office automation system based on SharePoint was designed, which completed the module development and integration like documents release, applying for approval, data share, etc.Document release module and applying for approval module are the key modules of this system. It puts forward a highly customizable and scalable design proposal by analyzing the automation requirement for a multi-national corporation. According to the technical features of the SharePoint platform, it analyzes the feasibility and advantages of the document release module and applying for approval module built upon SharePoint technology.Online applying & approving module mainly use the property of SharePoint workflow to combine with other software and develop the complex applying & approving workflow to meet the requirement of the company.The main function of Data-sharing module is to give different permission to different users through the permissions settings,which secure data transmission.By analyzing the major requirement of the OA system of ZP Company corresponding goals are drawn out. According to the goals, the paper point out the detailed designing direction and put forward the realization method and process.
