Research And Development, Office Automation System Based On Lotus Notes

Lotus Domino/Notes is an excellent groupware system, which contains the perfect mechanism of workflow, the advanced technology of document database and the reliable security mechanism. In addition, it implements the seamless links of Internet and Intranet, and really meets the actual needs of office automation users such as no paper, efficiency, workflow customization and information share.Firstly, workflow concept, workflow management system and referenced model of workflow system are introduced. The components and five kinds of referenced interface of workflow system are analyzed thoroughly. Secondly, emphasis is given to research to the workflow mechanism and security mechanism of the Lotus Domino/Notes system. The hiberarchy of document routing subsystem is built according to referenced model of workflow management system, and the function of the subsystem is also described. At last, the document routing subsystem of the Technology Park is designed and implemented based on three main factors of workflow design: router, rules and roles. This part mainly includes: the analysis of the document routing process using three factors, the design of the subsystem using Lotus Domino/Note based on the factors, and the implementation and operation of the subsystem. Up to date, the subsystem works well in the Technology Park.
