Data warehouse is the foundation of management decision analysis. In order to make use of information resource of data warehouse, powerful tools must be used on information analysis and decision in data warehouse. On-line analytical processing (OLAP) is an extensive used business intelligent technology. It can execute complicated inquiry operation on large quantity data rapidly and neatly according the request of analyst and provide the result to every kind of decision maker with intuitionistic and easy understanding format, also make them grasp the situation of enterprise operation and market demand rapidly and exactly.With the development of information technology, the application of OLTP in banking is extensive and deeply. A mass of fact data grow out from OLTP become the valuable assets of the bank. Proprietor is faced with an important issue that how to make advantage of the information. In order to meet the requirement of risk control and statistical analysis, an intelligent, convenient and efficient data analysis system need to be established. Through it, users can neatly analyze interest rate multi-views and multi-layers.This article starts from user requirement analysis. Trough analyze the current situation of interest rate statistics, this paper researches on data warehouse conceptual model, logical model, and builds dimensionality model. This paper emphasizes on researching the application of OLAP on data warehouse. Through metadata modeling, dimension table designing and data ETL rule designing, the interest rate statistic subject present via OLAP technology. Through comparing several familiar data warehouse software and OLAP development tools, SQL Server is selected to develop the subject, and the subject is verified by practice.
