Research And Application Of Grid Portal's Key Technology Based On GridSphere

Grid is an emerging new technology about information in recent years, and it represents the third wave of technology after the Internet technology and the Web technology. It combines high performance compute, distributed technology, Internet and other technologies to achieve the sharing of a large number of heterogeneous resources which are widely distributed geographically. However, the overall structure of the Grid system is very complex and performing some tasks require very complicated configuration and implementing order, which greatly limits the application of Grid technology. In recent years, with the deepening research and application of Grid technology, Grid-based portal system has gained more and more attention. Through the entrance of Grid system provided by the Grid portal, it is convenient for the Grid users to manage the Grid resources and submit, schedule and monitor the Grid tasks. Grid portal hides the complex environment, facilitate the Grid users' access to the Grid services and resources, and thus solve the problem which is complicated for the Grid users to use the Grid resources.Based on the relative research of Grid technology and portal technology, this paper firstly analyzes the status of the Grid portal, Grid portal features and the development of Grid portal toolkit. It analyzes the framework of Grid portal GridSphere in detail, including mainly characteristics, architecture, layout engine, core components and the management of persistent, and designs the Grid portal architecture level based on the Grid portal framework GridSphere.Then, aiming at overcoming the bad scalability and reusability and high maintenance cost, this paper lays emphasis on the development theory of Portlet module based on MVC model. By developing Portlet module based on MVC model, the Grid Portlet module is divided into three layers, every layer performs its own duties in which way the performance of Portlet module is improved.Finally, according to the demand analysis about the Grid Transfer portal system, this paper has designed the framework and the database of the whole system, and researched the detailed design proposal, including Grid security module, user management module, certificate management and Grid application management module. The experiment platform of the Grid Transfer portal system consists of Globus experiment platform and portal system experiment platform. The Grid transfer portal system is implemented by using the Portlet technology based on MVC model. Compared with the common way of accessing the Grid system, it analysis the performance of using portal to access the Grid transfer portal system.
