The Grid Computing is a hot technology developed in recent years, and it makes full use of all kinds of available resource which scatters in different geography position to form a big super computer. Grid Portal is an important part of Grid Computing technology, which makes grid user to explore grid resource and services easily, and speedy. By the developing of Grid Computing technology, it Put a higher demand on system and deployment. In the present, the Grid Portal architecture focus on application without unified specifications, it is suffering from problems of migration and scalability, and system tiers of architecture aren't clean. Therefore, It very important and realistic to design a better Grid Portal architecture base on existing standards which can make full use of all kinds resources and improve the computing efficiency.This paper firstly introduced the conception of Grid Computing, summarized the status and the development trend of Grid in these years, and explained the significance of the Grid Portal in research of Grid Computing technology, analysis and comparisons with popular architecture of Grid Portal and specifications. Then the paper presents a new Grid Portal architecture Federated Grid Portal architecture in Grid Computing environment which is based on OGSA (Open Grid Services Architecture) by using Web Portal technology and framework model. We make Grid Services to divide into two categories according to presentation logic and application logic, and name Portlet Grid Services and Application Grid Service. The Grid Services will be deployed to grid environments with requirement of gird portal system, and then through the Server Manger node(SM) control these gird services. At last we had a testing and comparison between Federated Grid Portal and others. Furthermore we had developed an original system for Digital Campus Grid Portal based on this architecture. The result of experiments shows that the Federated Grid Portal has good scalability and migration.
