As the development of software requirement, the traditional two layers Client/Server computing model is unable to meet the need of enterprise systems. The transaction-oriented processing and computing of large scale data require a new model, which should support distributed, heterogeneous and multi-layers software architecture. Besides, in order to decrease the cost in software development and maintenance, companies need to develop reusable software components. Most of large distributed enterprise systems are usually very complicated; it often contains several software environment and hardware platform, different network protocols and variant of Operating Systems. In some cases, it can not meet the entire requirement by using one kind of distributed technology. What's more, there is much diversity between the existing systems because of the different emergence time of distributed technologies. But it is necessary to retain the old systems to reduce cost. Consequently, how to integrate the new systems and the old systems becomes a critical problem.CORBA and EJB are important technologies in the development of distributed application systems. Each technology has its own strong points in the architecture and performance, so the combination of CORBA and EJB can make best use of their advantages, and it is also very useful for the integration of heterogeneous systems developed in different programming languages and platforms. There are some specifications in CORBA and EJB to make them be integrated easily. But there is not corresponding specifications in the newest EJB3.0, so how to make a CORBA client call an EJB3.0 component is an important problem in their integration. This thesis presents the research on the interoperability technology of CORBA and EJB3.0, and mainly focuses on the integration of heterogeneous systems with different platforms, different environment and different programming languages. This thesis first studies the technologies of CORBA and EJB3.0, including their architectures, communication models and development methods. Secondly, this thesis elaborates the research of their integration technology based on RMI-IIOP and CORBA Bridge, and introduces the integration solution and architecture model of these two methods, and also makes a simple comparison with WebService, which is a widely used Service Oriented Architecture technology. Finally, this thesis designs the architecture of Tax-control Business Automatic Management System based on CORBA bridge integration, and then introduces the detailed design and implantation of the network communication module.
