Northbound Interface system based on the distributed north of CORBA technology is an object-oriented system, which was born with the goal to manage data communication, integrate network management system. The CORBA is its core technology. The system could be able to handle all kinds of network equipment accurately and conveniently, such as SDH optical transmission equipment, MSTP/MSAP, the protocol converter, fiber optic transceivers, PCM integrated service access gateway equipment, enterprise, TDM over IP products, it could be able to interact data uniformity, for the same type of equipments which were developed by different manufacturers. As that, all kinds of resources could be utilize and integrate pellucidly, despite of being in different places. While avoiding the single point of failure in the network resources, achieved a load balance by transferring pressure in the equipments of network, such as fault of server, congestion of network, failure of database and so on.For different types of equipment, such as data link layer and network layer of network switches, routers, or multi service transmission platform, multi service access platform, protocol conversion device, signal receiving device type, the distributed interface system adopts the idea of modular design, and according to the different requirements of different network equipment module, such as alarm reporte module, performance statistics module, data configuration module, to process by cutting which is a method of develop software. While based on the different needs, the modules of function are selected, configure different modules to different types of equipment conveniently, to accompany with the use, to buy with use, and use a period of time before buying. Furthermore, for the same type but different models of equipment, such as H9MO-LMXE, H9MO-LME, H9M0-LMFIT and other mainstream multi service control platform, the modular level. According to the different functional requirements, with high cohesion and low coupling idea, for the same function module is divided, and achieve a more detailed but convenient and controllable way management equipment, control equipment.This paper analyzes the application background under NMS, original requirements of distributed system based on CORBA technology, reason of selection of core technology and the development of language. Introduce and describe the system outline design, detailed design of some module of the system, analysis and definition of data model classes, design and development of data entities, and coupled with the network management system, and exhibit the relationship of data interaction. This paper also show the content of CORBA core technology used by the system, analysis the process of building the development environment detailedly. Throughout the text, through the reading abstract of this paper, the reader will have a comprehensive understanding of this paper, and have a clear grasp to how to use the system and how to understand the detailed design and implementation of the system.
