Corba Distributed Computing Research And Application Of Interoperable

Supported by one of the China National 863 tasks -"Petroleum Exploration Distributed Integration Application System", we have researched on the interoperability of CORBA and developed interoperability application programs with StarBus and VC++ in order to integrate many sub systems of petroleum and gas such as Exploration, Drilling, Developing and Exploitation etc. And make these dispersive heterogeneous sub systems interoperability and resource shared. This paper is one of the summaries of the above task. This paper mostly discusses the interoperability of CORBA (such as heterogeneous program languages, heterogeneous platforms , heterogeneous operate systems and heterogeneous protocols) in the distributed system. And then fully apply with CORBA services provided by StarBus, code interoperability application program with VC++. At last provide author's point of view. The motivation of this paper is : to research communication of application programs in the distributed heterogeneous platforms; to get a lot of distributed mechanism in the distributed heterogeneous platforms; to resolve many interoperability problems: heterogeneous program languages, heterogeneous platforms , heterogeneous operate systems and heterogeneous protocols; to find the fast, most reasonable and best interoperability programming support. So, we provide a plan: introduce CORBA middleware to the C/S programming model and achieve interoperability of the applications.
