A Study On Framing Theory Of Journalism And Communication

With the framing theory taking the fancy of many scholars, which has been applied to the study of Journalism and Communication fields widely. There are so many articles of framing theory both at home and abroad. Articles showed an open, pluralistic orientation ,but the articles of analyzing the theory of framing in domestic are not so many. In this case, it is very important to sort out the theory and analyzes the effectiveness and limitations of theory ,so that we can correctly apply the framing theory of journalism and communication. From the source of framing theory and the intension of frame, this thesis sort out the Research angle of the framing theory of journalism and communication. At the end of the thesis, analyzes the effectiveness and limitations of theory. From the analysis, we know that there is limitations to use the framing theory in the study on media effects. We can use the framing theory originated from sociology, but it is necessary to amend the viewpoint of weakened the role of society's decision. This thesis from sociology, psychology, communication and other subjects to sort out the framing theory of journalism and communication. I hope the research in this area will play an important role.
