Research And Implementation Of Network Management Agent In WiMAX/802.16 System

WiMAX is one important technology of the Broadband Wireless Access Metropolitan Area Network,which is based on the IEEE 802.16 standard.It solves the wireless needs in the last Kilometer connection.Network management system is used to collect and monitor all of the working parameters and states of the equipments in the network,it can inform the administrators to deal with the problems.Web-based network management(WBM) comprises of the web technology and the modern distributed network management technology.And it is the important prospect of future network management development.The client/server mode adopt HTTP that is simple management,friendly interface,cheap expense and convenience operation.The paper expound the implementation of WBM in WiMAX/802.16 systemThe paper gives an introduction to the function and system architecture of network management system,analyse the network management frame of SNMP and Web;complete the requirement reporting;then analyse the hardware and software system,design the manage interface;finally write the codes and implement the agent.The network management system can manage the WiMAX/802.16 system effectivly.
