In this thesis, mainly research with the user management and maintenance module of R3206 router.First, the architecture of the R3206 access router is described, then, mainly discussed several kind of user management and maintenance system, point out there excellence and disadvantage, in concern of the special requirement of the memory and the efficiency of the embedded system, a highly integrated, highly efficiency, easy to maintenance and easy to expand system is needed.Then, mainly discuss a new method of command line based management system under the VxWorks system, it's a highly integrated, highly efficiency, easy to maintenance and easy to expand system, and include the command line and web interface.At last, give out a test result of the user management and maintenance module, in the functionality test, command set test and application test, it works well, and has a good applied potential.
