The Research & Design Of Locomotive Data Recorder Based On S3C2410/VxWorks Platform

As a special vehicle runs on the land, the safe reliability of locomotive's working state is always especially concerned. However, how to record the related data of locomotive when it is working is a key point. This paper is all about the research and design of locomotive's data recorder. It can offer strong support for analyzing the reason of traffic accident.First, this paper analyze the design parameters of locomotive's data recorder. Then, base on the analysis, S3C2410 is chose as the hardware's main control chip and the embedded realtime operating system VxWorks is chose as the main software platform.The key point of locomotive data recorder's design is network transport and management of files. So, on the hardware's aspect, Ethernet is chose as the data transport interface, IDE interface is chose to connect Electronic Hard Disk. Then, under the S3C2410's control, data which was transport form Ethernet can be record on disk. On the software's aspect, first, VxWorks is transplanted on S3C2410, second, network communication that based on two buffers is designed to read data from Ethernet. Third, catalog and file management task are designed to manage the files that are record on the disk. At last, this paper analyzed the network exceptions which would happen and how to deal with them.
