Computer embroidery machine is an electromechanical integration equipment which developed by the development and application of computer technology, electronic technology, machining technology. at present, the domestic intelligent embroidery machine has some problems with low cost performance. This paper proposed a DSP and ARM-processor dual-system structure based on analysis of embedded computer embroidery machine's features and structure.The main research work in this paper is as follows:Firstly.Designed the information treatment system based on ARM920T core, and the external expansion interfaces: SDRAM, FLASH, USB data storage, Ethernet, UART, LCD display module.Secondly.Set up the ARM-Linux cross-compiler environment and CCS co-existence system of DSP development environment using the virtual technology. Provided an effective compiler environment for the entire system software development.Thirdly.Analyzed the design file's storage format and corresponding decoding method that the embroidery machine has used. Then compiled the user graphical interface by MiniGUI.Fourthly.Using TMS320LF2407A designed the mechanical control systems, the frame motor, servo motor, and spindle motor and so on.Fifthly.Realized the information transmission between ARM and DSP using the RS232, and compiled the transmission protocol.
