With the developing of the embedded system technology, the embedded linux operationsystem is adopted in the area of industry controlling. This paper developed a kind ofembroidery machine's control system, which is based on embedded industrial controlcomputer ARM PC/104.and adopted the embedded Linux as the operation system.The cross-compiling of the Qt/Embedded is studying. The process to cross-compileqt-embedded-free-3.1.1 is introduced in details, because the development onqt-embedded-2.3.x is difficult as the faulty assistant tools. And the platform for thesoftware designed is built, which is based on NFS file system.The manner is researched to control the server motor from the position and speed. Therelation is analyzed between the pulse frequency and the axes speed, the number of thepulse and the axes position. The frequency of pulse to control the step motor is providedaccording the theory Computation and experimental result. The relation of the sever motorand step motor is researched.A new platform of embroidery machine's control system is provided. It is not under thecontrol of host and slave microprocessor. The tasks are processed by the microprocessor ofthe ARM PC/104. The server motor and step motors are under the control of the PWMtimer of the microprocessor S3C2410, which is based on ARM.The software is composed of application program and the device driver program. Thesignal is used to notify processes of system events. The device driver program is designedto control the server motor and the step motor. The GUI is based on QT and the applicationis defined. The process to make the root fileof Cramfs and Yaffs is introduced in detail.Now, the control system has been debugged and the base function has been realized. It haspassed the function test and is well thought of by the experts and the client.
