With the development of textile industry, the market of the computerized embroidery machine faces great opportunity. Because of the lower level of the computerized embroidery machine's control system, the higher level products are almost monopolized by foreign products. Compared with the foreign computerized embroidery machine' s control system, the homemade exists huge discrepancy in the aspect of automatization degree, manipulative personalized, memory capability, display technology, run efficiency, exception frequency. Therefore, the computerized embroidery machine's control system studied in this thesis is improved in the aspects of above mentioned factors, which is helpful for reducing the difference with the international advanced level.Based on the analysis of principle of the computerized embroidery machine's control system, this project proposes a design of software and hardware platform of ARM, eCos and FPGA, combined with the advanced mature technology of embedded field and the requirement of computerized embroidery machine.In this control system, we use S3C2410A of ARM chip made in Samsung to be the core controller and develop the function modules, such as USB HOST controller, LCD display, keyboard interface, UART port and FLASH, and simplify the peripherally circuit.We transplanted eCos operating system on the S3C2410A and composed the programme of device driver which is unified with the operating system. This design also realized the coroutine control of principal axis motor, embroider motor, color-changed motor and electromagnet according to the parallel operation of FPGA. This design not only provides the system capability but also enhances run stability and anti-jamming capability of the system.Through emulation test, computerized embroidery machine designed in this Study is Meet the requirements .
