The computer embroidery machine is a device with the rapid development of CNC technology and electronic technology, as a typical numerical control equipment, it has been widely applied to the knitting industry. Although computer embroidery machine has developed rapidly, the domestic ARM+Linux-based computer embroidery machine control system is still in its infancy. In view of this situation, based on the analysis of computer embroidery machine working principle and functional requirement, the research and improvement about ARM+Linux-based computer embroidery machine control system will be done in this paper, and the work of this paper shows as follows:1) The DSB format pattern files are analyzed, and the control principle of spindle servo motor and stepping motor is researched. Then combine with the characteristics of conventional control algorithms and computer embroidery machine's actual operation, a new control algorithm of embroidery motor coordination is designed. In addition, the process that the control information of pattern file translated to information of motor control is described, and the embroidery performance of computer embroidery machine is increased.2) The working states of computer embroidery machine are divided, and work which will be done in every working state is clarified. Then according the embroidery workflow, Qt development tool is adopted to design the man-machine interface, and the serviceability is improved. The technology of key-press event, software timing, pattern display, sub-menu hidden is used, and the dynamic man-machine interface internationalization is realized.3) Power-off protection for computer embroidery machine is designed, the ability of dealing with power off illegally is enhanced. First the reason of choosing storage media and file system is given. MTD device and realization of YAFFS mechanism are analyzed, then the transplantation of YAFFS file system is completed, finally the approach of data protection when power off illegally is discussed.
