Electric Arc Furnace is a metal smelting furnace,which transfers the electricity to melt metal by the arc between graphite electrode and charging.Because electric arc furnace in the smelting temperature is higher than other types of furnace,it has been in the electric arc furnace steel-making stainless steel,heat-resistant steel and special alloy smelting,etc.plays an important role.The thesis is based on the 3500kVA Simplex Carbon Ferrochrome electric arc fumace computer distributed control system of the Second Steel-making plant. According to the control demands of the system,combined with the actual situation of the production site is designed to PLC-based 3500kVA Simplex carbon ferrochrome smelting electric arc furnace control system computer.To achieve control of electrode's position system and the furnace body motion system.Selection for the hardware and the programming of the entire control system software,system off line for debugging,etc. Which detailed control of electrode's position system,the use of e electrode's position movements PLC controlled hydraulic proportional valve to control the electrode speed automatic take-off and landing,advanced to the current control strategy of constant impedance and control algorithm.The control software is designed with the S7-300 series programming language produced by Siemens Company,including electrode's position control unit,hydraulics control unit,vacuum switch on/off control unit,changing the level of transforrner control unit and other logical control units.The computer supervisory system is designed by using the configuring software WINCC6.0,including main picture,High voltage system picture,real-time curve picture,historical curve picture,hydraulic system picture,water-cooling system,alarm system picture.In this thesis,the use of PLC-based control program,through the theory and practice,that the control scheme has a very good practicality and stability.
