Based on the equivalent mathematics model and status equation of electric arc furnace electrode regulator system, the paper adopts the theory of piecewise-linear, carries through the research of PID control and discrete-time reference model self-adaptive control to electric arc furnace electrode regulator system, and the self-adaptive control law of discrete-time reference model is deduced. Furthermore, we begin to simulate the system of electric arc-furnace according to the law. At the same time, the physical model of electric arc main circuit and electric arc control circuit of electric arc furnace electrode regulator system are realized. The simulation and experimentation results show that self-adaptive control system has more advantages than conventional PID control system in track characteristics, and so on.
