Based on the equivalent mathematics model and status equation of electric arc fumace electrode regulator system, the paper adopts the theory of plecewise-linear,presents the transfer function of electric regulator system outout-windage signal, the identification algorithm of electric arc furnacesystem parameter and open-circuit gain on line and carries through theresearch of self-adaptive PID control to electric arc furnace electroderegulator system. the simulation results show that adaptive control system hasmore advantages than conventional PID either in dynamic characteristic or inresisting the arc length disturbance. At the same, the paper adopts the modelreference self-adaptive method and receives model reference self-adaptivealgorithm. Further, in order to test the correctness and validity of self-adaptive control method, the physical model of electric arc circuit and theanalog control system of arc furnace electrode regulator are realized.
