Research On Application Of University Library2.0

With the development of Web2.0,Library2.0 has come into focus since 2005,which is user-centered and characterized by the applications of Web2.0's idea and technologies.It is a new idea and a new operation way of library service.In the environment of fast development of internet technologies and competition of network information service providers,such as Google and Amazon,Library2.0 brings new opportunities for development to university library.So researching the application of Library2.0 in university library is significant.Library2.0 is placed wide attention since it appeared.Many exports and scholars elaborate its meanings from different angles and bring forward so many points of view. This paper firstly summarizes the meanings and characteristics of Library2.0 and then advances the author's own view.Subsequently the related technologies(RSS,Blog,Wiki, Tag and so on) and theories(Long tail thory,Microcontent and Six-times space) are introduced.Through researching university library Site,this paper enumerates the application's forms of technologies about Library2.0,such as RSS,Blog,Wiki,Tag and so on.And a survey to the application status was made both domestic and broad,and it also makes a comparative analysis.Three cases related Library2.0 are selected as example to analyze, including Ohio university library2.0,HuiWen OPAC3.5 and Library2.0 in XiaMen University.In order to know about the applications of Library2.0 in university library from the angles of users and librarians,a survey by questionnaires and inquiring was taken in 20 domestic university libraries.In this investigation,1000 readers and 150 librarians were inquired and the survey data was made statistical analysis.On the bases of the theory,technical analysis and researching data,the paper has a gradually in-depth study on university Library2.0's services model.Firstly,it generally analyzes the elements,including people,resources,technologies and services,which make of the mode of Library2.0.Secondly,it constructs three service modes from three different angles:interactive communication,user participating construction of resources and personalized services.At last,on the basis of above three models and actual surveys,this paper constructs a total application mode of university Library2.0.It points that it is very necessary to strengthen the mechanisms of user supporting and information security to push the university Library2.0 forward.
