Research On Information Service Of Library In Web2.0

Web2.0 affects whole internet in a surprising step since it has been named. Now Web2.0 technologies have used in every aspect of internet, and playing more and more important roul in practice. Web2.0 offers new service models, methods, and technologies that can be adapted to improve library services. Thus library is changing, these services affect library users' information seeking behaviors, communication styles, and expectations. Library is being urged to embrace the second generation of internet technology, Web2.0, to satisfy user demands. Library 2.0" first appeared in 2005, and till now it hasn't common definition about library2.0. However there are some describe about library2.0. Library2.0 is piratical use of Web2.0 technology such as blog, wiki, is also a concept of a very different library service, geared towards the needs and expectations of toady's library users. The heart of library2.0 is user-centered change, and the library makes information available wherever and whenever the user requires it.Library2.0 software platform is changing the way where we think about the library space, and the ways where we work are changing to match. In such background, the thesis consisted of five parts:The first part was the introduction, in which the research subject of this thesis was introduced and the current situation of the domestic and overseas research in this field was clearly expounded.The second part was mainly introducing definitions both of Web2.0 and library2.0, and gave exact reasons why library applies Web2.0. Then, it not only describing relation between library2.0 and Web2.0, but also comparing two.The third part with the description of Web2.0 service changing, it summed up information service characters of library2.0. And give a piratical example of applying blog in library, through which to explain application of Web2.0 technologies in library.The forth part is based on the third part. In this part thesis expounded from three aspects:, information service model, and particular way of innovation. First showed innovation direction of information service and supporting theories, then discussed traditional information service of former library and the information service innovation of library2.0, at last discussed how library operates library2.0 The fifth part showed some disadvantages of library2.0, and the development tendency of the library2.0.
