A Applied Research Of Web2.0 Technology In The University Library

With the rapid development of the computer technology and network technology, the Internet from Web1.0 times has entered the era of Web2.0. Library 2.0, which uses the technologies and the concept of Web2.0, is a new type of library service in Web2.0 environment. Introduces the background note of this article,research results at home and abroad,research methods and research purposes.The second chapter, the writer introduces the brief content and the important feature of Web2.0, That is, represented by Flickr, Linkedin and other sites, and Blog, SNS, RSS, Wiki and other social software applications as the core, according to six degrees, XML, Ajax and other new theoretical and technical. Important feature of Web2.0 are openness and ease of use; at the same time , Pointed out that the difference between Web2.0 and Web1.0; Put forward the theoretical basis for the Library 2.0.ChapterⅢis the Survey Research of Web2.0 technology in the Academic library. The writer Select the top 100 colleges and universities library in US and Domestic institutions, including 985, 211 of 187 institutions' libraries, mainly investigate RSS technology, Wiki technology, Blog technology, SNS, IM and other technology which applied in Sino-US Academic Library by Network. At last, the writer describe d the results by text, maps and charts, found that the construction of the library or the gap between the differences and similarities between Sino-US colleges and universities. At last, the writer Come to the conclusion that application of two or more Web2.0 technology in University library.In the ChapterⅣ, the writer analysis the problems which found in ChapterⅢ, the application of SNS and IM in University Library of domestic behind the United States College Library. Web2.0 elements' logo is not clear in College Library Web site's navigation system of China and the United States. And personalized service tools are not used universal. The author put forward several strategies to strengthen the building of the Library 2.0.In this paper, on the one hand, the author want to understand the application of the Web2.0 technology in University Libraries, verifying it's not just a theoretical study of Library 2.0, but also practical action. On the other hand, to get the first-hand information on the Library 2.0 learning for library builders, researchers and so on, playing an active role in construction and development of libraries in the future.
