With the rapid development of modern industry, precision 3D coordinates measurement technology becomes an indispensable part of modern industrial. wMPS is a large-scale measuring system, which based on forward intersection, and has features of high accuracy, strong anti-interference , multi-user sharing, easy-to-use.In this paper, the merits of wMPS were introduced, the measuring principle and the basic components of the wMPS measuring system was analyzed, and the hardware requirements was raised. In order to ensure the speed of transmitter, the PLL motor speed control methods and contactless power supply was used. This paper also discussed the structure of receiving sensor, the underlying software algorithms and tracking algorithm.The main works of this paper are summarized as follows:1. For the large-scale measuring, the measuring principle was analyzed, the hardware requirements and the meanings of the study were raised.2. According to the requirements of rotation, PLL motor speed control and brushless motor drive technology were studied, and the system was realized.3. According to the requirements of rotating platform power supply, characteristics of contactless power supply, topology, mathematical models and control strategies were analyzed. Series resonant half-bridge ZVS converters were used to realize the laser's power supply.4. Using PIN diodes and transimpedance amplifier as a photoelectric module, and joining fraction discriminator to ensure accuracy measuring the moment of the pulse arrived.5. Using FPGA and CPU as processing system and the underlying control algorithm were designed, for the correct handling of measurement data .6. The hardware system was verified by experiment.
