With the rapid development of social economy, it demands the better of water supply' s quality and reliability of water supply system.Meanwhile the country on the industrial system adjust reduce excess capacity and the upgrading of industrial technology requirements to eliminate backward technology, and energy prices in recent years, rising energy consumption and improve efficiency in the enterprise become two major issues before us. Inverters and their representatives AC Drive technology as sophisticated technology industry for its excellent energy saving effect and high control accuracy is more and more attention to enterprises, and gradually become the mainstream of AC motor speed control applications.In this paper, based on the practice, at the current exchange of several more sophisticated ways to make a comprehensive analysis speed study, according to the needs of the industrial site, select the frequency converter speed control with the PID feedback combination of closed-loop control were studied. In the analysis of their speed characteristics, driving performance and different forms of load capacity ,summarized its characteristics and applicability, but also pointed out that such a speed control system's defects and shortcomings, and has made some improvements and optimal controller performance programs.Finally, at Tong ling Nonferrous smelter Jin chang 132KW Frequency Pumping Station project, will converter with PID controller for the constant pressure water supply pipe network, through the practical application of technology to prove the feasibility of, and have achieved good control and energy saving effect .
